Artillery |
|
|
6 Pound Cannon |
|
Small artillery pieces, used mostly against infantry.
6 pound Cannons are smaller than their 12 pound
counterparts, yet they are still a fearsome, highly
destructive weapon due to their range and
devastating power. |
|
|
Congreve Rockets |
|
Small, inexpensive Artillery unit, particularly effective at close range.
Developed uniquely by the British Empire, Congreve
Rockets have the exclusive goal of frightening the
enemy's horses with their explosions. Their use can
avert potentially devastating enemy charges and may
also inflict damage on Infantry units. |
|
|
Howitzer |
|
Particularly effective against buildings, their projectiles follow a parabolic trajectory.
Howitzers are artillery pieces possessing huge
destructive power. Their projectiles' calibre
and parabolic trajectory make them devastating
weapons which are especially suited to
destroying buildings. |
|
|
12 Pound Cannon |
|
Effective against both troops and buildings, their projectiles follow a flat trajectory.
These Cannons (named after the weight of their
projectiles) are the main artillery pieces of the
period. Their destructive capacity and long range
make them the most lethal weapon on the battlefield;
however, they are also the most vulnerable if the
enemy gets too close. |
|
|
Horse Artillery |
|
12 Pound Cannons, but the use of horses makes them faster.
The principal difference between Horse Artillery and
regular artillery pieces is that, as the name
suggests, it is transported by horses. Therefore, the
battery benefits from greater mobility on the field
of battle. |
|
|
Horse Howitzers |
|
Especially effective against buildings, the horses makes them faster than Howitzers.
Horse Howitzers, as the name implies, consist of a
battery of Howitzers transported by horses. The
Howitzers themselves are especially effective against
buildings, and the use of horses enables them to be
manoeuvred with great rapidity on the field of
combat. |
